I was fortunate when this trio stayed put for well over ten minutes during a snowstorm earlier this winter. I was able to experiment with various settings, angles, distances, and this was the one that pleased me the most, even if the two outer birds are out of dof range. These guys are more flighty than the more accommodating Bohemians, thus it was a bonus how approachable they were this time around!

Canon R6 + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/1000s., f/5.6, ISO 3200, handheld, FF, a couple of extraneous twigs removed via content aware, and some out of place snowflakes via spot removal.

Lovely shot, pleasing composition, for me a tad thin, i.e. I feel lowering the mid tones slightly enhances the presentation of the image.

Super scene! Definitely makes me miss the northeast! I, like others, feel the darks look a tad thin, but that's an easy fix. Well done.

Beautiful shot. Even with the berries and colorful BG, the birds steal the show. Would not be nearly as eye catching if only one bird were present. I am impressed that you got as much feather detail/texture on the birds as you did. I have a hard time with this species; even when shot relatively close, their very fine feathers have a "plastic-like" appearance.
