    Alittle break in the morning clouds I was able to manage a few shots of some of the local shorebirds.

    Gorgeous bird and pose, I like the BG as well.

    I was in Huntington Beach about a year and a half ago, loved the place!!!! Surprised you managed to keep the surfers out of the BG! :D

    Composition, light, pose, eye contact, sharpness, and the suggested ambient in the BG are all A+++ for me. Big congratulations on this one!

    I really like this image James. I do think that if you had taken it about 1/3 stop darker it would have shown off the nice lighting better. I like the wind-upraised feathers on the back :-)

    Great angle, details, light, pose and BG. I like Daniel's idea, the light might look even better if the image were a tad darker.

    Like the head angle, the clean beach, and the clear view of the feet. The midtones could go a bit darker for some more pop.
