I captured this image at a stop along Blackpoint Wildlife Drive in Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Merritt Island, Florida. The Reddish Egret was hunting fish, it had just plunged into the water attempting to catch a fish but missed. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Beautiful bird and shot. What really draws my eye is the reflection of the water droplets surrounding the beak. Really cool! Almost like "leading lines".

Hi Joe ... cool action shot , love the splashes of water .
I think the subject could stand a bit more tonal depth and mid tone contrast , blue looks borderline electric to me. Matter of taste .

Well focused god and sharp, I think I would reduce the saturation of the water and add a little more punch to the subject, maybe tonal contrast and even a little vibrance.

Nice timing on the splash - that's some very nice action. This woulda cracked from lower, but I don't know what kind of access Merritt Island allows. The blues are too strong are presented.
