    Default Atlantic Puffin

Just got back from a trip to Machias Island. There were lots of seabirds, the light was on the harsher side before a thin layer of clouds helped. This image is almost full frame.

Cute pose, good sharpness, and nice BG. Only wish for a little eye contact.

Love the raised foot but with the head turned away from the light this does not work to well for me. Whom did you travel with?

I can see your point. This trip was with Bold Coast Puffin Tours which is in Cutler, Maine.

    Hi Axel!

I like the way the colors come together, as well as the raised wing and one foot. I do see Artie's point. Did you enjoy the Bold Coast Puffin Tour, and would you recommend it? I would love to see these one day!

To me the eye slightly turned here is saying "Off we go into the wild blue yonder. Or "Winding up for the take off". I think you did well with the exposure considering how harsh the light can be in this area. Please post more of your trip. I am glad to have given you what knowledge I have by phone Axel. Thanks for posting this image.

    Nicely done Axel,
Love the composition and the raised wings. It looks like your friend is a dancer trying out for Broadway...
