Just got back from a trip to Machias Island. There were lots of seabirds, the light was on the harsher side before a thin layer of clouds helped. This image is almost full frame.

Axel this is sweet man I love the flow and comp of this shot everything came together including the angle and shape of the rock.... eye contact is not a big deal to me on this . Well Done!!!!!
Love the raised foot but with the head turned away from the light this does not work to well for me. Whom did you travel with?

To me the eye slightly turned here is saying "Off we go into the wild blue yonder. Or "Winding up for the take off". I think you did well with the exposure considering how harsh the light can be in this area. Please post more of your trip. I am glad to have given you what knowledge I have by phone Axel. Thanks for posting this image.
A pretty image Axel the colors help this a lot. Agree with the head turn.
Thanks for posting the name of the outfit you used, I need to do this one day.
Great colors and nice action,
nice pose too, agree for a better eye contact, but it`s ok:)
Nicely done Axel,
Love the composition and the raised wings. It looks like your friend is a dancer trying out for Broadway...
