    Default Double-banded Courser (Namibia)

Another wide-angle habitat image of an appropriately-named bird. I think it makes sense why this bird lives where it does! It blends
in much better than the bustard from a few days ago.

I decided not to go lower since grass in the foreground would have obscured the body and completely blocked the view to the legs.
I miss the feet as is, but there wasn't a way to get those without shooting straight down on the subject (yuck).

Processed in LR CC and Topaz DN. Cloned a few distracting bits of grass.

Camouflage, the bird blends in so well with the background. I like the image and the environment showing. Techs look good, nice work. Thank you for sharing, Dorian.

Nice environmental image. A little more OOF canvas on the top than I would like. Maybe a 16X9 crop of just the bottom, but spot on exposure and sharpness. Well done.

I agree with Jack, a bit too much empty space at the top.
The bird pops nicely from the nice habitat.

I really like these exaggerated crops (or, more appropriately, 'uncrops') which highlight the negative space, but I can see how they might not land with everyone.
That said, here's a slightly tighter view. It still has a ton of empty room at the top (that's the point of exaggerated negative space) but the larger subject has more
    presence.

Dorian, very nice view of this little guy. I do like your efforts to go SIF, although I prefer the pano crop repost.

Overall, it's so hard for me to give quality feedback without having been there or seen the environment. The image has a washed out feel in terms of color and sat while also being heavy in yellow but again, I cannot debate what you saw so have to believe it's well represented.

Do really like the tones and the way you processed the subject. It's great to have the head appear in a bit of a clearing behind too. TFS.
