Common Goldeneye about 100 miles out of its range in an urban pond in the middle of Portland Oregon.
Another hard to expose duck, do the whites look better here?

Low angle and eye contact make this crack! Interesting capture as the graded sheen on his head looks as much Bufflehead as goldeneye. Bird looks sharp and well exposed. I'd be interested to see what you can extract from the shadows
around the beak. They are very heavy as presented. Some of that might be due to the fact they're covered in water, but I'll be curious to see what happens if you play around a bit. Love the composition. Tail needs to be up against frame
for these long-low subjects.
