Default Tri-colored Heron... Breeding Colors And Plume

I captured this image at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. The profound changes that take place on some birds during breeding season I find fascinating. This bird part of the bill turns blue and the tip black, the eye changes color and a plume is grown. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Killer detail from neck to beak! A very well executed portrait! These guys have such elegant necks that I would think about including more of that feature if you have in equivalent focus.

I am not familiar with the actual colours Joe but I can say they look absolutely beautiful, the DOF and sharpness is also excellent as is the composition.

Yessir, this is very good! I'm a fan of "heads shots" and this one is no exception.
