    Default Arctic Fox (f)

Can't remember if this was posted or not, but here you go....

Cropped to around 75% as the subject was shot central and I wanted it placed elsewhere, something Mirrorless does very well once Anima Eye is locked on. She was out foraging for Gull eggs, the was about 1KM into the cutting, birds just plastered the walls and the smell of guano was very intense!!!I Kept the BKG light to give texture.

Thanks to those who posted or viewed on the last posting.

    Dear Steve,

On opening the thumbnail my eyes are drawn to this beautiful little fox, but what I find most striking is the 3D feel of the image. Good decision to place the subject off centre, well exposed, IQ is great.

A very interesting and unusual frame. Tack sharp where it matters and such lovely colours and textures in the subject's fur. I would love to touch and hold this little one but I am sure she will bite very sore

Love this as presented, well seen and taken and PP superb as always, thank you for sharing Steve!

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

A delightful image Steve you certainly know how to deal with fur! Regards composition , Ok I don't dislike it but I am wondering if the brown element were copped off... but then would image quality have been compromised... what you need old sport is a 140-400mm with in built 1.25 me thinks

Hi Steve ... a peaceful looking scene of the Artic Fox and i do like the three layers from fore to background .
Just think the front layer is competing too much with the Fox itself , IMHO. But i do not really like your RP approach .... here is my approach , WDYT ??
Other than that it does look great in terms of tone and color with stunning fine details rendered .

Good to see something different in terms of subject .

Thanks Andreas, RP works, tonally slightly darker in the fur.

Thanks Gabriela, who knows, rain is in the forecast so just have to suck it up and make the best of it, who knows, all I know is that it’s not going to be a walk in the park based on the intel.
    K
Have fun with your cheetahs, ooh BTW, Peter H is going to Amboseli early Feb, hooking up with Jonesy who was guiding at Charls, otherwise he would have joined me which would have been a massive hoot.

    Must go…

Don't trust any forecast... things change all the time

Amboseli sounds nice too, hope Peter gets some stunners. Tell him I said he made a big mistake not to join you

Hope you have a fabulous time, Steve! We shall Chit-Chat when possible
