    The last of my New Year's Day posts.
    This was just after a rain shower so wet feathers.

    Colin it looks rather washed out to me I feel a little contrast would help.

    I like the wet feathers, head turn and pose! I agree it could use a little contrast boost. Wish for a touch more room on the bottom of the frame.

    Hi Colin .. the base image does look quite nice with the wet guy on a nice branch , albeit being a bit tight at the bottom . You could extend it easily in PS .
    I do agree with Jon that it appears flat ( tone & color ) and could go further than the RP .... but avoid the general contrast , try " soft light " and mask it. ( channel blending via apply image ) .... just one approach besides others .

    In the OP there is noise visible in the dark feathers ??!! , was the shot under and you lifted it in post ?
