Hi folks .. nothing to become excited about from spring last year of the Canadian Goose , just a gosling stretching his tiny wings .

    Canon EOS R 3
    EF 500 IS L II
    HH

    F 8 ; Iso 5000 ; 1/2000 sec on a cloudy day

Processed with Capture One and PSCC 2023 ; cropped , added canvas to level the frame
The yellows could go a bit less intense as an alternative , matter of taste .

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous postings

HAPPY NEW YEAR to all of you ....

    Cheers Andreas

What a cute bird! Really like the overall composition and the processing looks good to me. Lovely fine feather detail, perfect HA and the Daisies in the foreground add to the mood. However, my eye is drawn to that orange/brown leaf? at the bottom centre of the bird's chest...i'd be inclined to remove it. I'm fine with the yellows. TFS

Nice little wing flap! Good pose and eye contact.
Still needs a bit of CW rotation IMO and yes to dropping the yellows/increasing blue.
HNY Andreas and thanks for your help through 2022.

Thanks Paul for your comment , much appreciated .
I am fine with the leaf , as it is not really in the way IMHO .... but somehow understand your thoughts .

Thanks for your comment Colin , much appreciated .
I see where you are coming from about the rotation and the yellows , but not adding blue ... i would just reduce the yellow saturation a touch . By adding blue i would amplify the greens in the plumage as they are already " too strong " as a reflection of the green grass. They do bleed into the plumage .

Always trying to help if someone is open for that , glad you feel helped by me .... lets keep the exchange running in whatever direction it goes . All the best for 2023

    Cheers Andreas

Cute shot, I must admit I have had to look a few times before I made comment ( and to make sure my screen had warmed up for a minute or two!) My first reaction was yellow and vivid green. I have looked again, maybe just me but I think saturation is too high, maybe less saturation and a little more vibrance??

Hi Andreas, love the image. I like the image, all looks good on my display. As Steve wrote, very commercial for Easter. Thank you for sharing.

Super cute and very engaging! Cant go wrong with little fluff balls! I agree with John about the saturation; it's a tiny bit too much color (and that's coming from a color guy!). Easy fix if you want to tame it a bit. I agree with you about the brown thing against the breast; I'd leave it as is as well.

Thanks again folks for your comments and suggestions ..... i hear you and i am with you about the colors , might have gone too much Picture Postcard Color

So here is a RP with colors tamed and along with it a lowering of their brightness

    Cheers Andreas

Such a smile maker! Too cute...and those wings! The daisies add a lot of interest. I do prefer the yellows on the OP - these are much too numerous over here, and often considered pests in city parks, and they often do look very yellow as in the original - but yes, the grass looks better tamed in the repost.

    P.S. technically named "Canada Goose"

Happy New Year to you as well Andreas!
