    Hi Jon happy new year to you as well ...

    I do like the concept of this image and the warm light is nice , just the too solid blacks are not in my favor . I would lose the faint shrub on RHS as posted
    Nice tones and details/sharpness in the gull .

    Thanks Andreas,, I did toy with the blacks and decided to make black to avoid competing distractions, the background was far from ideal. Glad you liked the gull.

    Like the concept Jon, but I think Andreas has covered my initial reservations.

    I would have dropped the EV rather than in PP, if the Gull turned its head to catch more light then it would have taken it up several notches IMHO.
