    Default Lesser Flamingo (Namibia)

This shot was taken on a falling tide with the birds constantly moving away from me, so I had to crawl over 100 meters on my stomach to get in position for this frame.

Could the subject be sharper? Probably. But I think this frame is more about the scene than the subject, so I'm happy with it.

Hi Dorian. Love the overall composition, beautiful lighting and colours and detail on the bird. However, I amd finding the oof birds in the background too distracting as they're drawing my eye too much. Just personal preference. Kudos for the "belly 100m crawl", and I'm fine with the sharpness.

Great low perspective and super sharp! I cannot make up my mind about the OOF birds in the background, but it does contextualize the image nicely

It's interesting that people are luke-warm on the OOF birds as the image was conceived around them. The idea is that this bird is one of many, and I think that helps viewers imagine the scene before me -- flamingos stretching to the horizon.

Techs and processing look good to me Dorian. I'm on the fence too in regards to the oof flamingos...I like the concept very much, just wish more of them looked like flamingos like the one at right, or at least more distinctive legs and neck like that one. Must have been so much fun to photograph, like photographing shorebirds but BIG!
