    Default Lesser Flamingo (Namibia)

Peed my pants getting this image since it took 90 mins in the water before this bird came close enough.

From Walvis Bay on west coast. Background is sky above sand dunes.

Great image overall! Everything is there: superbly sharp, great light, beautiful low angle, lovely OOF background. Was well worth the 90 minutes in the water!

Dorian, man I'd pee myself before AND after getting this one.

Every single element is just nailed. World-class pose, water droplets, even to the sensor, low pov with such a gorgeous backdrop.

I have a healthy amount of jealousy for you on this one. A really memorable frame I will definitely come back to.

    Bravo sir!!!

Thank you all for the kind words. I'm usually struggling to get close to small birds in natural surrounds, so it's rare that my subject fills the frame; the IQ difference is certainly noticeable in this instance. Gotta love bigger targets!

Love the three tiered BG, raised foot and water level shot! Excellent and well worth the wet drawers!
