Not as dramatic as my previous American Robin image, but I liked the setting. This fella stood on guard there long enough for me to move around a bit to line up the best background. I would have loved to be able to backup or remove the TC for a wider look to avoid cutting the berries below, but the FG was a mess below this view anyhow, so best to exclude it.

Canon R6 + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/640s., f/5.6, ISO 3200, FF, handheld, contrast and saturation to taste.

Great color palette, details as expected. Almost has a flashed look, snow reflection?

Your Robin shots are exquisite. Takes a great eye, skills and a capable editor to make a plain ol Robin look good and you continue to do so.

The dropping berries really make these frames. Love the lichen and the mottled bkg that really plays into the color scheme.

    Well seen Daniel!

Great frame of a common bird. I never get tired of those berries. Would love to see a bit more tail (i.e profile), but I really like how the white around the eye pulls our attention in that direction. Beautiful frame.
