A number of young Galahs are using my bird bath at the moment. These birds are very common in Australia, especially in the inland areas, where it is not uncommon to see flocks of 100+ birds.

Australians tend to take them for granted, but they are a beautiful bird.

Great pose, and beautiful bird. I might put him a bit higher in the frame. It would have been great if the sun would have been behind you.

Ian, this is a very nice action shot. Sweet timing. Love the pose, the bg and the colors.
Wish the lights were on your side.

The BG is excellent. I would have preferred the bird to be a little brighter. Nevertheless, a nice image.

Nice image. I agree with Axel's comp suggestion. Some fill flash would make this pop!

Thanks for the comments everyone, I am still working on using fill flash and struggle with getting it right. Something to work on in the next few weeks.
