This charming little guy should have migrated outta here by now, but nice to photograph it in a winter setting. It is hanging out by a bird feeder maintained by a local nature club, so it will be plentily fed for the winter if it decides to hang out until its cousins arrive in the spring.

Canon R6 + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/800s., f/5.6, ISO 3200, FF, handheld, a few badly placed snowflakes removed, and a couple of minor twigs at the edges also removed

This bird is so underrated, and you've managed a very nice image of it here. I'd love to see a bit more for the subject, but this shot is as much about the habitat and conditions; it all works very well, especially with wide crop.
Makes me miss winter in the NE US!

Very serene Daniel. I love the way you composed it and the snow upon the pines is a sweet effect.

Super eye contact and nice tones. Great shot!

Very appealing image and super details in the bird, I like the composition and overall colour palette.

Hi Dan, beautiful image, looks like a image on a Christmas card. Techs spot on as always, I love the feeling of cold and the falling snow. Thank you for sharing.
