    Default Kingfisher's Sashimi Lunch

We build a makeshift hide to get a close capture of this tiny Kingfisher. I believe the experimental hide worked just fine as it enabled me to get this close-up shot.

I'm green w/ envy every time I see an image of one of these birds. So gorgeous! Pose is perfect.. I like the perch, BG and the fish puts it over the top for me.

Congrats on getting so close! Nice composition and the meal is a bonus. The head looks a little soft on my monitor, while the front of the rock looks sharpest. A slight head turn towards you would have been nice. Thanks for posting!

Cool bird and cool fish. The bird's head, however, is anlged slighty away from you rather than slightly towards you. See the Head Angle Police thread in ER. Lastly, you might consider moving the blind a bit to come up with a more even BKGR.

These are such beautiful birds and I agree with all of the above. Really nice composition with the rock perch and the fish but agree a slight head turn would strengthen this image. Many thanks for sharing.

Close vup, colors, and sharpness are outstandin, about BG and eye contact, I agree with Arthur. Congratulations on a terrific shot!
