    Default Capped Wheatear (South Africa)

This is a different -- and more approachable -- individual than yesterday's post. The WB seemed more straightforward on this one, but we'll see what the peanut gallery thinks.

    Totally natural, no bait.

Dorian, simple yet beautiful composition on all fronts.

Just love how delicately it is perched atop the thorn with a perfect look back to the lens.

The rich greens transitioning up in the bkg are lovely. Thorns frame the subject nicely, specifically on the tail area.

Gorgeous, rich tones. All around winner for me.

PS - I have not viewed the other but WB appears good here for me.

Sweet frame, Dorian. Love the pose, perch, BG, details. All of it. No nits.

Looks great to me as well! Love that thorny perch and the bird looks sharp and well presented. Nice work!

Literally the top deck of a theater, where the cheaper seats are located, the 'peanut gallery' is a term for a collection of people who aren't shy about criticizing
an actor's (or, in this case, a photographer's) performance. I meant it as a tongue-in-cheek way to invite feedback, all of which is appreciated.

Hi Dorian a really nice clean frame of the species .
Good posing for the side profile ... with the good head turn .
Overall i do like the color and tonal presentation !!!!!! Not meaning that it could be handled differently , at least you have no overall dominating color or cast .... which is a good point .
    Nice detail and sharpness .

Very nice work and TFS Andreas
