Red squirrel, I may have posted this or a similar one previously but this time I have processed differently. I intend to revisit this site as soon as I get my new lens, it will make composition a little easier. I am particularly interested in what you think about the coat detail and colours, although perhaps colour is an unfair question they do vary considerably. The ear tufts always attract my attention - cute little devils!

Hi Jon .... a quick answer and question for you , if they vary or not does not matter much when you check the color reading in the belly and in the tufts .
The tail color looks a bit strange with the red/magenta cutting off quickly ???
Overall a bit on the cool side ... matter of taste .
Details are looking good and the sharpness as well ...

Thanks for the bait .... maybe Steve jumps as well

Thanks Andreas, I started balancing RGB thens adjusted exposure colour etc and you probably guessed I did reduce Magenta and Blues! On reflection perhaps a little cool, I thought I had nailed it but now you have put that word in my mind!! Glad you liked the details/sharpening.

Hi Jon. The sharpness and details look good. Nice pose and comp, I would have liked a bit more below. Those ear tufts are amazing.

Why donīt you place color sampler points into key areas ? you see potential color issues straight away ....

Have to agree with Andreas here Jon, looks cool & overall flat. Two tweaks on the OP, get the WB better and add a Tone Curve adjustment, bingo, you have a nice image.

Oh wow, she's so pretty! Or is it a he...I think it's a boy ?

Very cute pose, techs look great, light wasn't on your side but you managed to capture the subject so well, nice and sharp, detail is lovely.

I think I would have liked a tad more at the bottom. Certainly prefer the RP in terms of colour and tonality, love the vibrance and those awesome reds.

Thank you so much for sharing!

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
