I am a sucker for squirrels I think they make terrific subjects. Subject nicely isolated from the background, sharpening and detail pretty good too! Always good to see some kind of behaviour or action, I am trying to work out what it is eating, it appears to have cut the food into a strange shape.
I don't think the image is overexposed but I wonder if a little better definition would have resulted from slightly lower highlights.
The aperture seems just adequate (it does look better in PSCC have to say), just wondering if f8 might have been optimal but that is a very minor point for me.
Good image you have incentivised me to dig out a file and I will post it.

    Hi Steve,
Super details, nice pose and clean BG. The raised curved tail is lovely. Sharpness is just perfect.

    Thanks Sanjeev.

You could be right Jon, f/5.6 was just on the cusp, a fraction more DoF would not have hurt, just bump up the ISO. Go for it, the 'Reds' are far more attractive and native.

Hi Steve ... super side profile with tons of details .
Colors looking good , albeit i have never seen one in real life . Nicely isolated from the BG .... and no need for more DOF for me.
You seem to like those man made perches .... ... albeit looking rotten , i would prefer more a tree stump or something similar . But this is not an issue just a matter of taste .

Can see a version with more tone in the HL and lights .

    Dear Steve,

First thing I noticed when opening this thumbnail was the superb detail and clarity of the subject... this is something many battle to achieve

Beautiful pose, love the curvature of the tail. Perfect HA and some lovely colours. Tonality is great. Love the dark background.
In fact I love everything here. As always I am a little jealous of your PP skills, but then we both know that's not everything... Some great thinking and vision produce those stunners you keep delighting us with and I so look forward to more

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
