    Default Great Hunter ...

.. well he wants to become one , as this is a rather young guy . He got a fish and ran off with it , full of fear because of the bigger bears .
Hi all image taken on the banks of Kuril Lake on Kamtchatka .
Framing / cropping is not ideal ... as this was not framed very good in the first place . Bear running to right and looking to left .... ... plus the salmon . This was the only frame where the Salmon was clearly visible .... so i took this one .
Canvas added to the left and cropped from right , height is as shot ... so basically a full frame image. Overall a bit too tight in height .... but

Looks great to me I am happy with the composition he is slightly to the right of centre looking to the left, the salmon is well shown he even has a raised paw, his eyes are showing beautifully.

A real cool image, but shooting so tight on the height is a crying shame, but in the heat of the moment. Can see some more midtone, or another form of contrast other than Contrast...

Thanks Jon and Steve for your commenst , much appreciated .

@ Steve .... i do agree 100 % about the " crying shame " , this guy was on the move for a " longer time " .... and i did not take it into account that he might come that close . All the way the Salmon was facing the BG ..... and all of a sudden the Bear turned itīs head , i was too tight . End of story .....

IMHO no need for more mid tone and/ or contrast .... and for sure not , never ever the contrast thingie via slider . If i use that slider in converter .... than to the negative side .

    Cheers andreas

I like this a lot Andreas. The pose of the young lean bear with the salmon is captivating. The POV is nice and you did well in adding canvas.Super techs as usual. Nice one.

If the head room is an issue then why not add a little canvas to the top??????

Agree would be an easy fix ... the bigger issue is at the foot !!! And if i canīt make it look realistic ( at the foot ) ..... i skip it .
