Have a few egrets for everyone - I lll spread em out though so don't worry. Just back from a weekend and the egrets were more than co-operative.

Some vignetting in the corners - left in place - pretty much full frame.

All fine from my end Lance I like this image a lot

First it was made in good light, excellent bird placement within frame and like the lower angle for making that bg look good. Sure glad you found some cooperative birds and did well with them !!!

Very nice Lance!!! Looks like that lens works well with the 2x too.

I love the quiet solitude in this image!!!

Strong work Lance! The low angle and eye contact make for a really nice image. I might crop a tad off the bottom but that's about it. Thanks for posting!

Hi Lance, I like the golden light on this one and I'm impressed with the range of your lens. How much does it weigh?

Good composition, image and exposure... We will pretend that the little black marks on the corner of your frame are not there....:D Just clone them out my friend...:) I like the nice baby blue background...You have a sharp eye and good details in the whites...good show...

looking good, mate!!! at 1600mm you could call that a "longshot"!!!! that lens does real well with detail with the 2x on it!! and you do a fantastic job of telling it what to do!!

Hi Lance! Love this image and what takes it over the top for me is the knock-kneed stance of the bird!!

Really nice image Lance! Nice and sharp, nice perspective down low like that and the BG works really well! A lot to like here! Congrats!

    Thanks people :)

Gus - I left the back marks in the corner ON PURPOSE - they tend to frame the image and draw your eye in. :)

Katie - the lens weighs about 7KG - Plus the camera- Plus the tripod.

I am always amazed at how these guys can twist their necks so much. This is a great image of catching this unique behavior. Good exposure and nice placement.
