A lot of these guys have been feasting on ripe fruit off the decorative crabapple trees at the local arboretum. Always a great spot to photograph fruit-eating birds in season. Nice fill from below by the snow-covered ground

Canon R6 + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC III, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/640s., f/5.6, ISO 3200, natural light, handheld, FF, some extraneous twigs at the edges removed via spot/content aware, contrast and saturation to taste, usual eye work to remove glaring reflections.

    Daniel:

Wonderful soft and even light. Excellent colors from the berries. Good swallowing pose. Effective DOF.

About as good as it gets for a Robin!!

Yeah, this is killer. As good an AMRO shot as I've seen. That this isn't full adult help as the interplay of white snow on orange berries is echoed on the bird's orange-and-white chest. Perfect head angle, exposure, and details. Really super.

Beautiful shot Dan, very nicely presented,I can also envisage a version withe the midtones pulled down a little just to provide a little pop.
