Hi all, this one is from yesterday in Doñana National Park. A not very productive day because the wetlands are dry in this part of the year and the temperature is really, really high. This eagle is named in spanish "Águila culebrera" or "Snake-eater eagle" because most part of its prey are big snakes.

Nikon D2X AFS Nikkor 300VR+1,4XTC handheld, cropped, 1/2500s f4,5 ISO320 (too bad I forget that my ISO was so high because there was plenty of light for a lesser ISO) manual exposure

I like the crop, wing position, and eye contact Juan. Light was a little rough, but what can you do sometimes. Thanks for posting!

I love the pose and eye contact, and hoy the light "draws" the eagle's silouettes, very sharp and very very nice shot! Felicitaciones Juan!!

Love everthing about this one esp. the sharp eye but the hot spot on the top of the head bugs me a bit.

Great pose and eye contact. Another vote for toning down the highlights on the top of the head.
