    First time out with the Nikon 600 f4, and happy so far. This was with the teleconverter engaged; 840mm, f 5.6, ISO 7200, Nikon Z9.

    Hope to get back, not great light but he and his friend were hunting but of course he got the vole and flew away from me.

    Lovely. Color harmony, that fantastic facial disc, dilated pupils, exposure. Yes, a bit busy, but the owl is so dominating that it still works well. Look forward to more examples of the 600 TC.

    Really striking view. About as good as eye contact can get. Bust surrounding don't bother me since bird pops against them. I'd watch the whites on the lower part of the face as they look to be getting a bit hot. I'd also like a bit more room above the bird if you have it (and assuming its not some hideous horizontal branch).
