    Default American Oystercatcher (Haematopus palliatus)

    I captured this image at Ft. DeSoto County Park in Pinellas County, Florida. Most of the image I have seen of American Oystercatchers have been from the side, this head on view show how slim the bill is (surprising to me) similar to a Razorbill. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Lovely low angle and the background surf is a lovely inclusion. Details/exposure look very good.

    Love this one Joe.....The splashing wave looks really good....Nice POV and good detail on the bird....I wonder if the bird heard the wave coming....Good work

    Yes very good ,makes her/him very bold.I like the way you go from blue to blue but in a different hue!
