And this really is from the depths of the vaults, a camera with minimal dynamic range and ONLY 10 MPX!!!!!!!

From the 14 day trip around Katmai and the wonderful bears that inhabit the location.

Thanks to those who posted or viewed on the last posting.

... to be honest , i can´t see a big ( if any ) difference to todays postings
IQ and processing as we are used to from you.
Love the deep tones in the Bear .

Why have you never been there again ?

I for myself would have really liked to go again to Kamtchatka , but Mr Putin destroyed my dreams for a long time .... as i do not want to support such Country .

    Cheers Andreas

Super image with tons of tonal range and detail. Love the pose and water drops falling off the body and the low angle. Beautifully processed!!

Simply cost Andreas, the Dollar is too strong, I was there for 10 days, currently for 8 days that $10k plus flights and stop overs. Flights are OK as I just pay the taxes only , but I would like to go for 16 days, takes the pressure off and I can fill my boots. but would need to time it to get one specific Bear guide.

    Thanks Sanjeev.

    Hello Steve,

Looks pretty awesome for an image from the archives

Love the raised paw and sense of movement, great IQ, DoF, colours and tonality. Superb detail as always.

Framing works well for me. Just a little curious when you captured this image, was it many years ago?

    Warmest regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Looks great Steve, ideal SS love those water droplets. Canon and other manufacturers did a good job on us convincing us we continually need to update equipment, as Andreas said not a whole lot wrong with this one.
