    Intense stare, straight down the barrel! In this instance I like the shallow DOF because it directs us straight to the yellow eyes. Good work getting low. I find the square-ish crop a little wonky and wonder what a 4x5 vertical would look like, especially with more OOF water in the foreground.

    Great POV, great eyes, wet face, crossed primaries.

    I could see a different crop as Dorian mentioned, but find this one effective as is. The eyes dominate the image.

    I really miss seeing these guys in Michigan. They used to come through my area reliably, but haven't seen any in years.
