Hi folks been awhile ago that i posted an avian image .
So here you go a " grab shot from today " and the first time captured this species .
Image taken in very dark part of a local park , even if the weather was clear and nice .
Wish the legs would have been more visible , but for the first timer of this species i am happy .

Lovely to see the crest raised Andreas, and that gorgeous, beefy red eye too. Agree, seeing the feet on this instance would have helped, but like the comp, wondered about a sliver less at the foot????? Knocking it out the park with these higher ISO's.

Really nice look at this species Andreas! Really nice detail especially for ISO 10K. Love the green in the perch even though the legs aren't visible, it still works IMO. Nice work!

Super image, Andreas. Bird cracks on that buttery BG. It would be nice to see the legs, but the super-engaging head tilt pulls out attention upwards anyway. Detail on the face is super. He's also facing the right way (i.e. out from the perch), so that's good as well.

Hi Andreas, love the sharp detail and raised crest on the bird. I agree maybe a little off the bottom. Nice image, thank you for sharing.

Nice perch and BG - and I am lured right in to the bird's sharp face. Tough to get feet on mossy floors, so it is a non-issue for me in this case, but fully understand others' concerns here. The curious pose is rather engaging :-)
