Hi folks .... no Ground Squirrel for a longer time
So here you go , taken in the soroundings of Vienna .
Squirrel attracted by supplying the flower , which i collected at the edge of that area .
Some might think the Squirrel is partly hidden behind the plant , i am ok with it .

Sweet image Andreas, albeit perhaps deemed as slightly contrived???

Don't have an issue with the flowers, very commercial and the actual design works, perhaps a sliver more below. A little bit of posterisation in the darker greens but hey....

I can see a version with some more saturation say around +15 then some luminance in the greens/pinks, jut peppers the colour up a bit more.

Aaaargh, this is just too cute. Pose is superb. Yes to more saturation, subject looks great but perhaps you could make the flowers pop a bit more? Composition is ok, just feels a bit tight at the top and bottom. Or maybe Steve is right, just needs a tad at the bottom... I trust his thinking.

Don't mind you supplying those chap with a bit of 'nourishment'... they seem to enjoy it Also don't mind the squirrel behind the flower, it looks pretty Never thought one would find squirrels around Vienna, wish I explored the surroundings too when I was there...

Truly enjoyed viewing this image Andreas, thank you for sharing Boetie. Hope all is well on your side and you are in good health, also hope the winter is not too cold...yet On my side rather hot and humid, beginning of summer. Been in Africa for over thirty years but still feels weird bringing out the Christmas tree when there's no chance of snow...just not the same atmosphere...

Hope you have a lovely week-end, thank you for sharing,

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Thanks Steve and Gabriela for your kind comments , much appreciated .
I thought i did a good job with the greens , but agree they can go a bit intenser and deeper . And the flowers as well .... thanks for your pointers .

Here is my own recipe of your suggestion , Steve , slightly different

    Cheers Andreas

    Subtle, but better IMHO Andrea’s.

Note, the greens boost might be made up of other additional colours within the original suggestion, it’s never just one colour as no one colour is made up of just one , so yellows, blues etc may also be added into the mix.

    Subtlety is key ...

THe " greens " did not become boosted via saturation in the classical way , i selected the colors independently and boosted them via channel mixer and added more luminance via curve through a color mask to the layers . So the yellows and blues etc .... became boosted as well in the green color range

Hi Andreas, this is superb, the low angle, the pose and flowers add so much interest. Nice composition and details.

Lovely shot Andreas and indeed I do like it very much but you know what I am going to say, the flowers look entirely false to me, they look like a vetch plant to me and I am sure that the flowers would have been significantly higher off the ground than this, I could understand some flowers being low but not when the stem is so thick - they would have been higher.
