Pied Kingfisher taken towards the later part of the afternoon in SA.

I guess the spider stand should go, but left it in, perch nature on river.

Thanks to those who posted or viewed on the last posting.

Solid exposure and good sharpness. The perch has a nice curve to it, but it's a little large for the bird. I like how the perch divides the BG colors.

Hi Steve lovely bicolor BG and the KF popping nicely from the BG , perch is what it is ... agree could be nicer . But no option in the field so i would see this not as a nit .
Tones and general looking good and you did well with the strong side light .... 1Dx delivered nice fine details and sharpness is spot on .
Looking at the sun angle i would go a bit warmer in WB ... matter of taste

    NIce one Steve ...and TFS
    Any hovering images ???

Cheers Doug, nice to see you back, hope it's not a fleeting visit, seems from your posting you have been having a blast.

Thanks Andreas, indeed, might have a tinker, but happy as presented. Never had the option for flying/hovering, perhaps in the future and the R3.
