    Default Pacific Golden Plover in flight

    Had a ball this morning photographing a number of Plovers, both static and in flight at a new location. Here's one in flight. Processed in ACR and PS. 2nd catch light removed only. Approx 50% crop.

    D500/500PF, 1/4000th sec@f7.1, iso1600, manual mode HH. Cheers.

    You did really well here Paul. Bird looks sharp, and good colours. Not the freshest plumage ever with lots of worn feathers, but tough to control that eh! My only suggestion would be to rotate the image to have the BG wave lines level.

    Excellent topside view, Paul. Great eye contact. I love the big black eye on this species. Bird looks pretty darn sharp!

    The entire image looks a bit washed out to me, probably because of a steep sun angle. Not sure if lowering global exposure or boosting blacks/darks is the best way to combat the lack of contrast.

    Nice work, Paul. Catching these speedy devils in flight is really tough, and this does it very well. Repost is an improvement.
