A Tufted Titmouse from our time in S. Texas.

They proved to be quite dodgy. Thankful to get a few shots with this one before it made off with some seeds.

Black-crested Titmouse! Used to be considered a subspecies of Tufted but was elevated to its own full species a few years ago. They can be tough since they tend to fly in, grab a seed, and split!

Regardless, this is a really nice image. Pose, head angle, and detail are excellent, and I like the OOF bits behind the stump as it adds context and suggests the shot less set-up than it probably is.

I like it! This little fella chose the perfect spot to place its feet on, and the subtle glance-back head angle is perfect. Perfect gnarly perch - glad you made it even better in post.

Nice one Brian...very pleasing to the eye....great colours throughout...Lovely perch....I like the pose and HA on the bird...Have you changed your sharpening....It looks good, but seems to be different somehow from your other images....

Hi Brian ... a bit late , but stil worth to comment .
The head turn really makes this a nice keeper .
Everything does look nicely done in capture and post , i would just change two things .... burning the perch and removing the plant in LLC . See this as an option not a must do .
