    Default Marbled Godwit

I'll take a break from my recent string of Africa images for this one!

Currently guiding at Rio Grande Birding Festival in Harlingen, Texas (way at southern end of state) but was able to sneak away for some evening shooting on South Padre
Island yesterday, after my afternoon duties expired. The frame resulted from 20 mins of belly crawling in 8 inches of water. The water was very warm, and I was shirtless,
wearing just shorts. Needless to say, beachgoers were very curious when I raised up and walked across the flats with my camera held above my head (to avoid dripping).

    Canon 600mm f/4 IS II + 1.4x III on EOS R5
    1/3200 at f/5.6, ISO 800
Processed in LR CC with light pass through Topaz DN. Not a single pixel cloned. Love it when that happens!

Belly-crawling in 8 inches of water without getting the gear wet? Good trick if you can do it. Worth the effort, for a beauty of a shot. Light, pose, POV all superb.

Hi Dorian, certainly worth your effort. Lovely image on a godwit. I can't see anything I would change, thank you for sharing.

This is real good Dorian.....Fab colours throughout and that POV makes a big difference.....Raised foot adds....If anything, more room on the RHS...Your effort paid off...

    Well done
