Another frame from the rather damp and dismal day with the Kingfishers & Sparrow hawk.

Looks good. I like the gloomy look here. The colours of the kf really stand out, and the perch looks great. There are not enough raindrops IMO and for that reason I'd evict that lone one.

Stop it Steve! Another stunning shot...just love Kingfishers. No nits at all from me (but yes to removing the lone drop)

Thanks Dan & Paul, totally agree Dan, it was similar to a conversation I had with Dorian and his image, I need to drop the SS massively to get the streaks, but this juvenile was hyper, perching seconds then off, in true 'Teenager' fashion. Next time if it's raining that will be my mission, to get the rain, should get it with the option now of 195 fps with the R3.

But happy with the result at ISO10k.

Looks great Steve, the lone raindrop caught my eye too, otherwise tickety boo.

Hi Steve, I echo the positive comments, really nice image of a kingfisher. Love the moss on the perch. As Jon wrote "ticketey boo", thank you for sharing.

This is great. I'm note sure if I like the bird or moss better. Colors are sublime. Probably my favorite KF image from you. Woulda liked a bit more DOF across the back, but that wasn't gonna happen in that light. I agree about evicting the single rain drop/streak. 400mm and R3? You musta been on top of this guy!

Thanks Dorian, but the less was at 560mm, not 400, subject distance around 17ft.
