My hobby is photography and photo editing, so I study a lot of topics related to photo editing software, which helps artists photographers unleash their creativity.
What caught my attention right now is Skylum's features, blog and the topics they cover. I recommend reading their article https://skylum.com/blog/best-free-photoshop-alternatives especially someone who has always been interested in this topic.

Ever since Adobe has gone to the subscription model it's no surprise so many photo editing software have been popping up. It is indeed interesting. Many of these are pretty basic, and offer no raw conversion or masking/layers for those that use those. Some of them do. There are many raw converters popping up as well, not to mention plug-ins and such. An ever evolving world out there. Thanks for the link.
