Shot this Ibis in a Nd slough. Think it is a juvenile. I shot this from my floating blind. The blind works well in three to four feet of water. Unfortunately the Ibis was in a couple inches of water, mostly muck. Have to be careful as I had to be rescued from a slough once .I was surprised it let me get close. They are extremely shy and mostly in thick vegetation or cattails.
I should have stepped down maybe 7.1 and would have gotten the bill sharper. I tried sharpening it didn't seem to help. Comments and critiques appreciated. Processed with Dpp 4,Topaz and Photoshop.

Looks good to me Kevin. Love the detail, pose and the pastel style graduated BG. My eye is sort of drawn to the dark part below the neck...not sure if you could get more detail there. TFS

    Hi Kevin ... a super portrait .
    Nicely processed and composed .
LOve the warm light and the duo tone BG .
In an ideal world the tip of the bill should be sharper ...

Even f/10 - f/11 for the body also. I don't usually care about stopping down except for when birds approach as close as this one did for you. Otherwise all else is solid as can be. You must have been happy with such closeups of a normally wary species!
