What's that next class I'm taking, "Painting with Gus". Excellent my friend. Your steadiness and focusing in taking these shots, even on tripod, is AMAZING.

Gus, I'm just not sure why these are in the Eager to Learn. You've clearly learned, and this is a great macro shot. This is a great portrait of a lovely subject! African daisy (osteospermum)?

i might get lashed for this, but if i'm totally wrong someone tell me, please! i would have liked to have seen the focal point just a little deeper in the center of the blues to bring the yellow/oranges on the back side slightly more into focus like the ones on the front side. is that an artistically challenged comment?

i've never been know to take the high road, just trying to learn!! please dont hurt me for this!!

Harold, that's a perfectly legitimate comment. It IS an artistic difference and one that comes up quite often when working with very shallow DOF's.

Hi Gus, as I looked at this fantastic image, I was wishing the back blue pods would be in focus. Then I read everyones reviews and thought: "ok, I'm not artistic, so it's just me." Must say I agree with Harold.
I really like the drapery affect you have on the flower, gives it a very sophisticated look.
