These guys are common...and they do havoc in our vegetable garden, but they sure are colourful creatures! This is the first time I actually decided to photograph one at a new location. It was fairly dark at the location, thus the higher iso. Basic adjustments only in acr and PS. Some selective n/r and sharpening via Topaz photo AI, which seems to do a pretty good job I think.

Hi Paul, neat image. My first thought on opening the image was I might tone down the green background. Nice detail, interesting to see the different colors on the bird. Quite different from the turkey we have here. I like the image, thank you for sharing.

Hi Joe. Thank you for the feedback. I totally agree...the green is too much. Here's a re-post. I also removed the white curved line above the beak front hairs. Cheers.

Yes Paul better . That was the first thing I noticed was the green sort of shocked me on the original post. Great detail on the bird and colors. Maybe the original ugly bird. TFS

What a great bird!! I love the curious pose, and the composition. Details look excellent. Good job with fixing the glaring background. Did yo need to reduce a bluish cast in post? Overall I love it a lot!
