    Default Eastern Long-billed Lark

Yeah, the rock probably overpowers the bird, but I'm really working to diversify my portfolio with more habitat-type shots. This bird prefers rocky grasslands, and I think this frame shows that nicely.

I did a bit of cloning to remove a few particularly-distracting blobs in the BG.

Captured outside of Wakkerstroom in South Africa.

Maybe the time of day but the image looks very yellow to me, I think the the blues reds and greys are disguised????

Dorian, you know I am quite alright with the composition. Agree with you, the image works very well from the habitat pov and I think the frame showcases how dainty the subject is.

I like the processing a lot but agree with Jon, it is very yellow and is concealing a lot of life and detail. Otherwise, a joy to view.

Played around with the color a bit. Also made a few other changes re: sharpening + noise. Thanks for the feedback.

Repost does help. Nice addition to your remarkable portfolio, and it does show the habitat well.
