    Yeah, that flat light really helped you to hold onto the feather detail across the entire subject. I love the view os the scalloped feathers peaking out from below the wings/tail. On the negative side, the OOF stuff in the foreground is distracting, and I think we could use a bit more head turn towards us (though the curious head tilt as is is still pretty good). Could see a version with a bit more room at right, but that's not critical.

    Very nice Steve! Lovely colours and detail, well processed as usual. Love the green BG. I'm fine with the HA too, but do feel that you could lose some of the oof perch. Cheers.
