Very nice Oscar. Great stop action. I see the 150-500 arrived. I have found that if you back off slightly to around 450-480MM the images get a touch sharper.

The image does look soft. Don't know if changing the focal length would help though cuz I don't know about that lens.

HI Oscar Did you just get that lens?

I like the pose and capturing a Juvi but I think the AF did not lock in !! That lens should be giving sharp results and you had plenty of shutter speed !!! btw would bump the contrast !!!!

............ got internet access at the Inn :)

Neat take-off! Agree it looks at bit soft or almost like a haze?

Congrats on the new lens Oscar! For maximum sharpness, you might try stopping down to f/8 or so.

Great composition Oscar. Have fun with the new lens. I asked Gus to set up a night shoot with all of us. See you soon my friend.

    Hey Oscar,
Sorry I could not go with you guys. But my Pops was sick, had to stay with him...:( He is doing a little better. I like your capture, you have a nice soft pale background and I like the action and the splashing of the water. Mr. brother, the bird is a little fuzzy, like in not sharp. I think that you need to go have your lens serviced (your eyes)... for real. I think its you...I told you this before..don't play around have your eyes checked.
    From your caring brother...:D

i agree with doug here. f/9 would have given you 1/2000s and that would still be plenty fast!!! those third party lens do better at those apertures than they do wide open!

love the pose!! cool capture!! excellent exposure!!

and if you are having trouble with your eyes, go to the doc. or we are calling diane!!!

Hi Oscar, I have to own up to the fact that I don't manually focus because I can't see well enough!!!!

Hi Oscar, lovely capture, though as others have said a little soft. I admire anyone who can autofocus - my eyes are way to bad to even try.

You have chosen a very nice subject, a fledged youngster from this year, but the image is not sharp and ideally, the wings would have been in the full downstroke position.

Most importantly, it seems that there are some serious repetitive cloning problems with the upper BKGR, esp. on the left.

Did you do some work there?

Yes I did Artie. I'm just getting to do a few things is PS and I'm not quite as good as I thought, but will keep trying.
