Needless to say as I approached the magpie was on the antlers, someone disturbed it and then it returned. He looks a little more red/orange than might be expected, I think he had been in a sandstone area.

Magpie makes this shot. Deer almost looks like he's giving the bird a bit of side eye! I kinda like the animal tucked into the grass as it forces our attention towards the amazing antlers. Really like the composition. Well done.

    Hello Jon,

Indeed the deer does not look very pleased with the magpie and giving the bird a 'dirty' look! Techs look good and I do like the red/orange bits but to me the frame looks a tad underexposed.

Sharpness is good and nice detail, would have liked 1 cm more at the bottom for better proportion...Great interaction captured and super timing

    Warmest regards,

    Kind regards,

Hi Jon ... coolest part is the bird on the subject !!!
The Stag is " hidden " too much for my taste .... but the rest of the scene is nice .
Sharpness does look different to other postings ???!! Fur structure does look kind of unnatural ??!!!
Check the colors in the bird , specially the whites ... wonder where the color was introduced ??
The coloration in the Stag is looking nice and natural to me .
Again overall too dark for my taste .

    TFS Andreas
