Looks really good I like the colours and composition. I like the perch and all looks great, but for me it looks a little too set up. Was there a branch nearby - did it land on something like a branch with leaves on it as opposed to the predictable stump with moss? The result may not have been quite so illustrative and beautifully clean but maybe more natural. Perhaps it's just me - superb image but..

A cool pose Will, but a sliver more at the foot, it's a wee bit tight. Don't forget if you have Animal ED on and it locks on you can just recompose, that is just so neat now. Would have been nice to see the 'stripy PJ's' of the from plumage. I still feel you can be rather conservative with the techs, especially on a gimbal, I think you could have easily slipped to ISO3200 as I'm assuming you are not auto ISO otherwise you would add EV.
Overall it's pleasing Will, but personally a tad less of Curves/Levels and make that perch substantial, is all a bit 'beige' it needs some tonal range back in the perch.

Jon, all the perches have been worked out to get that clean bokeh, to me it needs some slightly darker objects to break up the backdrop and give it credibility.

Hi Will a neat shot
All does work for me here in general .
If this was mine I would try to give the greens/yellows in the mossy areas more depth , a greener hue and a touch more vibrance /saturation . Even the BG can go more " colorful " from my POV .
But as colors are subjective I leave hat to you how to portray the scene

Very nice work Will! Great head turn, love the mossy perch! No nits from me, I like as posted.

Will, a gorgeous frame. You caught this stunning raptor on a really cool perch with lots of character, and a great acknowledgement of the photographer with such a gracious look back ;-)
Only thing I could see is giving just a touch more life to the colors, as mentioned above and perhaps a tad selective sharpening in the leading corner of the eye feathers and around the orbital.
A real sweetheart of a frame, thank you for sharing!

Cracking view, Will. The perch is wonderful, and the direct stare really connects. I do agree with Brian on two points. First, you have some room to boost the colors. And second, some additional sharpening around the head might help as the focal point looks to have fallen primaries and tail. But a really lovely image, one I'd love to have in my own collection.
