Thanks Jon ... glad you like it .
I am ok with your mid tones boost , but not globally applied .
I would exclude the surroundings and would apply it selectively within the subject .
Cheers Andreas

What an awesome result from a run of the mill oppurtunity. The contrast of 'beauty and beast' works a treat. A fantastic example for chaps like me to stop chasing the big sightings and over looking whats right in front of me

Thanks Basil .... if I had the opportunity to shoot the Leopard with kill , I would have left the Warthog alone .
We shot the WH on the way out .... to camp ....

Great close view of this gnarly beast, and the oxpecker is an excellent bonus. The view of the snout is a lot of fun. I hardly notice difference between your original post and Jonathan's rework, so I guess that means the original was fine! Super sharp always works.

Hello Andreas,
Warthogs are rather common here in Africa and in great numbers ...but make such wonderful subjects to photograph! I like the perspective here, makes the image for me. As well as the little oxpecker. Well processed and with good detail, colours look natural - well done Boetie!
Thank you so much for sharing
Kind regards,
