    I captured this image of a Great Egret in Ft. DeSoto, Pinellas County, Florida in the lagoon that is now overgrown with mangroves. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D7000
    Nikon 70-300mm F/4.5-5.6 VR AF-S ED, handheld
    1/2500 F/8 Matrix Metering EV -1 ISO 400 Auto WB, image captured at 300mm (450mm 35mm Equivalent)
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2022 and Topaz Denoise AI

    Good to see the prey and weeds, details and colour look good. I get the impression there may be a slight halo around the bird - seems more prominent around the head and neck.

    Hi Joe ... looks good with the subject popping nicely from the water .
    Cool behavior captured , but would prefer an image without salad ... on the other hand it does make it different .
    The Heron does look odd on the edges and kind of blurry in the plumage along those edges .
