I managed to capture this image last week at a local loch......Some Godwits were feeding on the far side, too far to photograph.....Luckily for me a Buzzard flew overhead which spooked them and they took off.....I got a few shots as they flew by, before landing again....HH..ACR, Topaz DN and PS...

Great birds still in breeding plumage, four perfect flight poses with green dorsal view wing positions and four perfect head angles. Your 16 to 1 shot came in!

An unusual image and well caught, for me I think not as good as your usual, some birds sharper than others and the image quality isn't quite there, it appears a little noisy to me.

Hi Will a super shot from the content POV , love it on that front .
Color and tones looking good as well to me , albeit I might drop the contrast on the BG for smoother transitions and to make the birds stand out more .

Not sure why, but the birds do look a bit soft to me ( large crop ?) , I can see some signs of cloning or subject removal on LHS .

But you got lucky to have them lined up that way .

Neat capture Will, but also echo some of Andreas's observations, has the feel of those three ducks folk used to mount on the wall.

Will, this is pretty incredible when one considers the timing and the moment to have all four posing and pretty much in plane. I like that the UL is just a bit out of symmetry with the others, almost leading the way and presenting nicely in the upper left quadrant.

The bush at LLC helps compliment the diagonal pattern of the subjects. Yeah, the subjects are a touch far out maybe but still a fun frame to view. Thank you!

PS - did you add canvas above at all?

Thanks for the comments....much appreciated......I have attached the original....As you can see my problem was getting a decent crop with the birds that were in focus, without doing much cloning....What I will do is leave more in focus birds in the image and crop a lot less, (I have a few frames, with slight differences).....this will improve the IQ.....Yes Brian I did strech the canvas a wee bit on top...

Oh well Will this explains ... a lot
One should know the limitations of the used kit ...... for best output quality
I personally would never be so brave .... to even try it

Why do you ‘stretch’ the canvas Will, that’s just going to add issues.
