    It's national Hummingbird Day! Here is another from my outing this week. This Broad-billed hummingbird image was taken in Patagonia. Same situation, flower attached to a shepherds hook with a feeder to attract.

    Beautiful image. The colors pop hard, the pose and eye contact are great.

    Sharpness is crisp but not overdone. Smooth, neutral green bkg compliments. Could see a version with everything just a touch shifted right in frame just a touch but I'd take this mature male BT any day!

    Love that bloom, what kind is it?

    DATPCA. It is amazing what we can do with high ISOs and the top of the line mirrorless camera bodies. They do not, however, go out and make the photos on their own. So, kudos for this one!

    Isn't it something when we can bump the ISO to 3200, 6400, and even more in a pinch, without even thinking twice about it! Everything here is pretty much perfect. I'm loving all those colours!
