Hi folks .... a simple and clean image of the Cormorant
Image taken at local town lake , on a sunny late afternoon in spring
Hope you like it , albeit I think the head could have turned slightly more towards the viewer ... if being critical

    Canon EOS R3
    EF 500 IS L II + 1,4 TC
    HH

    F 6,3 ; Iso 2500 ; 1/3200 sec ( being prepared for BIF )

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2022 ; cropped for comp and removed one dark spot in the water ; 65 % of FF

Thanks for looking and commenting to my previous posting

    Cheers Andreas

Hi Andreas my initial thoughts were the colors on the head were a bit hot. I know you have checked that maybe that comes with the contrasting of the black and that bright eye. Like the head looking up adds some interest. Overall a nice photo.TFS

Looks good, Andreas. The details in the darks look great -- including the drops on the back -- and the other processing appears spot on. Bird is a bit close to the left edge of the frame for me, but that's the necessary result with these long+low birds. Great work getting low though!

Nice shot head and neck show good detail. The back/wings seem to be carrying a bit of blue. I may have been tempted to add a little more space on the left.

Jon I left the blues ( already reduced ) in , as I think they are part of the business under a blue sky ... a reflection in the plumage like the water surface . Matter of taste ....
I am ok with the comp as is .... specially with the ripples in front would look maybe fake when adding canvas .

    cheers Andreas

Nice and slick. Good low angle. Sharp. I'd be tempted to burn the base of the lower mandible, just a bit. It's not bad per say, but seemingly bordering hot. The blacks are perfect!
