Hi Joe. I've been watching a few bird docos that feature this duck as well as other birds, and just love the colours. Nothing like that where I live. Wonderful profile image. The blacks on the side of the head and neck lack detail on my monitor.

Hi Andreas, thank you for viewing and commenting, Different days, different location at the lake and different light. Very few clichés in nature photography. Thanks again, hoping your shoulder is recovering well.

Hi Paul, thank you for viewing and commenting. Yes, I love these ducks, our most colorful here, related to the Mandarin Duck which is equally as colorful. The blacks are around 8 or 9 percent (22 in the scale of 1-255) so not clipped but dark, I'll see if I can tweak more detail. Thanks again...

Once again a pleasing shot, if I compare the two I feel more detail in the former image.
